This blog is still and maybee always will be in alpha. There is no strict editorial direction at this time, but it's likely to be rantings and ravings about technology, design, art, culture and especially all things new media.

Touring tip of the day, Smartwool socks rule
By at least one new pair for your next tour or bikepacking trip and I guarantee you'll end up wearing them the entire trip taking them off only to wash them.
I came to this conclusion after riding the skyline and blue ridge parkway last January but somehow forgot the lesson while biking the NCT (north country trail) in Michigan the last couple weeks. It has been unseasonably cold and very wet.
Disclaimer: I am not a Smartwool rep, nor do I even sell them. I just love their socks.

We love bikes - denmark
A very clever advert for the UCI world championships.
I would like to point out that a love of everyday bicycling and bike racing are not synonymous, they are for most people completely unrelated... like everyday commuting by car and nascar... but I'll accept the fact that the UCI really loves bicycling in all its forms and appreciate the happy semtimemts. Bicycling in all its many forms is an act of love.

Microadventure #9: Grab a Map. Go.
excerpt: I wanted to explode some excuses with my year of microadventure. Here's a few of them:
You need a lot of time for adventures
You need a lot of skill to be able to do them
You need a lot of money
You need sunshine
You need to have great ideas for your quests to be worthwhile
